Daisies

This work can be viewed formerly or subjectively. Traditionally the flower brings with it connotations of romance, celebration, nostalgia and fragility. On a more moribund level, links with evanescence and death reflect the ephemeral nature of existence. With these universal factors in mind the daisy, in particular, has been used as a highly personal motif, analysing the dichotomy of life and death, positives and negatives, occupied space and void, fullness and emptiness, in a scrutinising and personally emotive way.
